In the fall of 2018, the three-piece ensemble was convened by Craig Taborn, Tomeka Reid, and Ches Smith to perform new compositions by Craig Taborn that cross the boundaries between contemporary chamber music, improv/jazz, and groove and roots music from Africa and the Caribbean.
