Überspitzt und voller Ironie arbeitet sich das E3 Ensemble in Eine Ballettoper am Narzissmus der Kunstwelt, der Politik und an seiner eigenen Selbstverherr­lichung ab. Getrieben von exzentrischem Gesang, Tanz und von Dada inspirierter Sprache wird verzweifelt versucht, die perfekt glänzende Fassade ja nicht bröckeln zu lassen. Was anfangs wie eine schräg-lustige Performance wirkt, entwickelt sich zum wahnwitzigen Horror. Mit poetischem Tiefgang und skurriler Leichtigkeit feiert diese zum Scheitern verurteilte Ballettoper das Bizarre, das Absurde und das Bitterböse.

Die New York Times beschreibt die tunesisch-belgische Künstlerin Ghalia Benali als „eine Schöpferin ihrer eigenen Mythen“; von ihrer internationalen Fan-Gemeinschaft wird sie als Sängerin, Komponistin, bildende Künstlerin, Autorin und Schauspielerin gleichermaßen verehrt. Die Verschmelzung unterschiedlicher Stile, das Verbinden verschiedener Kulturen, das Wiederbeleben des Alten und das Verwurzeln des Neuen sind natürliche Prozesse der in Brüssel geborenen und im Süden Tunesiens aufgewachsenen Künstlerin.

Ukandanz befördern uns mit ihrer zeitlosen Reflexion des Ethio-Jazz in eine andere Welt. Wie der Name der Band schon vermuten lässt (sprich „you can dance“), versetzt die ungebändigte Musik, die so subtil wie wild ist und die sie selber „Ethiopian Crunch“ nennen, in ekstatische Trance.

Damijan's mixed-media works explore personal themes through sound and visual art, and their collaborations with musicians in experimental improvisation are showcased.

Die Idee entstand aus dem Bedürfnis heraus, professionelles Musikschaffen in die Intimität eines Salons zu bringen. Dadurch bietet sich die Möglichkeit, MusikerInnen und Publikum nah zusammenzuführen, sich über das Gehörte und Erlebte auszutauschen. Es geht um eine persönliche Gegenseitigkeit, die im herkömmlichen Konzertbetrieb nicht vorkommt.
